Rusty Ulmer fends off the snowbirds to claim the top of the podium at the inaugural Berger Snowbird Showdown Pro Series PRS Match. Ulmer won shooting the 6mm Dasher cartridge loaded with Berger 105 Grain Hybrid Target bullets, the #1 bullet choice in PRS. Nearly 70% of the competitors were competing with Berger Bullets, as Berger continues to dominate all of the PRS Series and similar long-range disciplines.
The Berger Snowbird Showdown was held December 14-15th at Cowtown Range in Peoria, AZ. The two-day PRS Pro Series event kicked off the 2025 PRS season with an 18-stage match where shooters engaged challenging target sequences and unorthodox shooting positions, out to 1,066 yards.
“We are blessed to have an amazing local partner with match director Richard Layton,” said Kenneth Lin, Marketing Manager for Berger Bullets. “We look forward to fostering Phoenix and the Southwest Region as a prime venue for competitive shooting.”
The industry support for this inaugural match was incredible – both range safety officers and competitors were buoyed by the chance to walk the prize table worth nearly $100,000!
