The Council to Advance Hunting and the Shooting Sports (Council) has officially opened registration for the 2025 National R3 Symposium.
Set for May 19-22, 2025, at the Westin Portland Harborview in Portland, Maine, the annual Recruitment, Retention, and Reactivation (R3) event will bring together professionals from agencies, non-governmental organizations, and industries across the country. Attendees will engage in in-depth discussions on securing the future of hunting, target shooting, angling, boating, and conservation.
“The National R3 Symposium is the foremost gathering for R3 professionals dedicated to strengthening the future of hunting, shooting sports, and conservation,” said Executive Director Dr. Steven Leath. “This event provides a unique opportunity to share strategies, build partnerships, and ensure we continue making a meaningful impact in growing and sustaining our rich hunting and shooting sports heritage.”
The Council will once again host R3minutes, a fast-paced session where professionals showcase their most impactful projects, success stories, and lessons learned. Abstracts for consideration are due by March 28, with more details available on the R3minutes page.
Additionally, R3 foundational training will be offered to new and experienced practitioners looking for a comprehensive understanding of R3 principles and strategies. This complimentary session provides attendees with the tools and insights needed to implement effective R3 programs in their organizations. Seats are limited.
Symposium registration is priced at $550, with an early-bird rate of $500 available for those securing their spot by March 14. The registration fee includes access to all sessions, networking socials, and event-provided meals. To register, visit the registration page.
A block of rooms has been set aside at the Westin Portland Harborview for the conference. Rates start at $199 plus taxes and fees per room, per night. For more information visit the lodging page.
