Team Canik Wins at the 2024 IDPA Nationals
Delray Beach, Fla. –– Team Canik recently participated in the 2024 IDPA Nationals event held August 15th -17th, at the CMP Talladega Marksmanship Park in Talladega, AL. Captain of the Canik Shooting Team, Nils Jonasson, came home with a 1st Place Overall Pistol and also 1st Place Stock Service Pistol Championship! Nils was accompanied by fellow Canik Shooting Team member Alperen Kivilcim, who was awarded “Most Accurate Shooter” during the entire event, even beating rifle shooters in accuracy. Both shooters ran the Canik SFx Rival-S, which was awarded “Handgun of the Year” at 2023 Industry Choice Awards.
“I am extremely thankful for the win and very proud of my Canik teammate Alperen for being the most accurate shooter of the entire match,” said Nils Jonasson. “IDPA involves more thinking on the clock than any other shooting sport I compete in, making reliable equipment even that much more important when competing against some of the best shooters in the world. Any hiccup costs you valuable time that you can never get back. And that’s why I run a Canik.”
