Hornady Sponsored Shooters Win Real World Sniper Challenge

(Grand Island, Nebr.) — Hornady® congratulates Sean Murphy and Greg Hamilton for their performance at the Real World Sniper Challenge, September 8-10, 2023, in Refugio, Texas.

Murphy and Hamilton took first place shooting Hornady 6.5mm 135 gr. A-Tip® Match bullets in their precision rifles and 9mm 125 gr. HAP bullets in their pistols.

“The Real World Sniper Challenge finale was a highly-anticipated and very challenging event for us,” said Murphy. “When dealing with unknown shooting challenges, having high-performance ammunition loaded with Hornady bullets and brass gave us an edge in confidence and performance,” he added.

A-Tip® Match bullets feature an aluminum tip that’s precision machined and longer than polymer tips, which moves the center of gravity and enhances inflight stability, resulting in tighter groups and reduced drag variability. In addition, A-Tip bullets are sequentially packaged for the ultimate in consistent performance.

Modeled after the legendary XTP® bullet design, HAP bullets are further refined into the perfect competition projectile. While XTP bullets use serrations to aid in controlled expansion and terminal performance, HAP bullets feature a sleek and balanced projectile with a protected nose that aids in consistent and reliable feeding in auto-loading pistols.
