(McLean, VA) FN America, LLC, is pleased to announce that FN Pro Team captain, Dave Sevigny's eighth all-time win at the 2016 USPSA Area 7 Championship and his 10th major Division Champion win for the company's practical sports shooting team this season. The match was held July 7 – 10, 2016 at the Capitol City Rifle and Pistol Club in Augusta, Maine.
The match welcomed nearly 300 competitors to the beautiful and picturesque capital of Maine for the Area 7 match. The competitors participated in over 10 stages with more than 200 rounds fired. There was tough competition in Production Division with 94 entrants and seven Grand Master-class shooters. Sevigny effortlessly fired his FNS™-9 Longslide pistol, earning a penalty-free match and wins on four of his 10 stages.
"My goal was to shoot a penalty-free match, and was I able to accomplish this at Area 7," remarked Sevigny. "We've had a lot of early success with the FNS-9 Longslide and will continue building its winning reputation, one match at a time."
Sevigny credits his ability to completely hone in on and improve upon his shooting skills to the consistent and reliable performance of his FNS pistol.
