Beretta Gold Cup Comes to the United States for the First Time at 2026 NSCA U.S. Open

Beretta is bringing the prestigious Beretta Gold Cup to the United States for the first time as part of its 500th anniversary celebration, with the inaugural U.S. competition taking place during the 2026 NSCA U.S. Open Sporting Clays Championship, August 11-16, in Hudson, WI.

With roots dating back to the first Carlo Beretta Gold Cup Trap in Lonato, Italy, in 1984, the Beretta Gold Cup has expanded across disciplines and regions to celebrate excellence and support the global shooting sports community. The U.S. Beretta Gold Cup marks a new chapter in that tradition, featuring three sporting clays events, including the U.S. Open, with combined scores determining the overall U.S. champion.

"The Beretta Gold Cup is about celebrating the shooting sports, supporting the athletes who compete at the highest level, and creating opportunities for excellence," said Ricardo Olivieri, Beretta USA Head of Luxury and Competition. "Bringing the Gold Cup to the United States for the first time during Beretta's 500th anniversary year is an exciting milestone, and we look forward to crowning the first U.S. champion."

The 2026 U.S. Beretta Gold Cup Champion will receive an invitation to represent the United States at the 2027 Beretta Gold Cup in Italy, with the date and location to be announced. The top three finishers will also receive Beretta competition shotguns:

The 2026 NSCA U.S. Open represents the second event of the U.S. Beretta Gold Cup, making it a pivotal competition in the race for the inaugural title. Team Beretta will also be competing throughout the championship, with some of the sport's top athletes taking the field, including Anthony Matarese Jr., Joseph Fanizzi, Dominic Grossi, Desirae Edmunds, and Zach Kienbaum.

The U.S. Beretta Gold Cup reflects Beretta's longstanding dedication to the shooting sports and its continued investment in competitive shooting at every level. As Beretta celebrates five centuries of innovation, craftsmanship and performance, the introduction of the Gold Cup to the United States establishes a new chapter in a competition tradition that has been part of the Beretta legacy for more than four decades.
