Big Wins for Team Hornady at the 2016 IPSC Nationals

Grand Island, NE.,- Hornady Manufacturing, a world leader in bullet, ammunition, and reloading tools congratulates the performances of Team Hornady members at the IPSC National Championships. Competitors shot 18 stages that consisted of paper and steel at varying distances. Penalty targets, moving targets, strong and weak hand shooting– all while contending with the extreme heat and humidity of Florida in September– made for a very challenging match.

Bob Vogel won the Standard Division amongst 47 other competitors. In addition to his win at IPSC Nationals, Vogel placed first in SSP at the IDPA Nationals. Vogel used Hornady 40 cal. 200 gr. HAP bullets in his Glock 35 for IPSC and Hornady 9mm 147 gr. FMJ bullets at IDPA, "It was quite an honor to win both matches in the same weekend and I'm happy to say I did it with Hornady bullets, the best bullets out there,"
said Vogel.

Maggie Reese won the Ladies Category in the Classic Division shooting Minor. Reese counted on the dependability of the Hornady 9mm 147 gr. FMJ RN bullets for this match, "My Hornady bullets, known for being extremely accurate and reliable were perfect for this setting!" said Reese.

Andrew Hyder placed 6th in the Open Division and teammate, Jessie Duff, placed 9th and received High Lady honors, "This championship was extremely challenging and the stage designs required competitors to be very accurate. I used Hornady 9mm 125 gr. HAP bullets because they're the most accurate bullets available!" said Duff. Also placing in the Open Division was Team Hornady member, Bobby McGee at 20th.

Blake Miguez placed 5th in the Standard Division, followed by teammate, Ashley Rheuark, who placed 11th overall and received High Lady honors. Rheuark also added to her banner weekend with National Lady Champion and 3rd place ESP Master at the IDPA Nationals. She was also the first female to become a Distinguished Master and used Hornady 9mm 125gr HAP bullets in both events.
