Leica Sport Optics USA Seeks Regional Managers

Leica Sport Optics USA, a pioneering leader in premium sport optics technology, is thrilled to announce multiple opportunities for dynamic individuals to join their team as regional managers. In this pivotal role, regional managers will play a vital part in the growth and success of Leica Sport Optics across the United States.

These key team members will report directly to the vice president of Sport Optics. Regional managers are required to travel domestically and potentially internationally to support Leica Sport Optics sales and marketing efforts. The regions that are open include the Western US, the TALO Region, and The Southeastern US. Leica is looking for individuals with outdoor industry experience who have a history of proven success managing a large region and growing sales. The right candidates will be able to produce monthly marketing plans, sales budgets, and detailed trip reports to keep senior management and other regional team members informed. The job description is as follows:

Primary responsibilities:

  • Grow sales and profitability of Leica within their assigned region while also supporting Leica Sport Optics across all regions as requested.
  • Meet or exceed budgeted sales objectives.
  • Generate and then execute a quarterly regional territory sales plan that is aligned with organizational goals, identifying dealers and prospective dealers that will be targeted throughout that quarter.
  • Produce sales reporting to communicate regional activities and share pertinent information with the sales team and upper management.
  • Participate in sales and budgetary forecasting as requested by management.
  • Support dealers and their retail operations consulting them on Leica products, inventory mix, merchandising, and consumer-facing in-store events.
  • Conduct Leica Sport Optics product training and education with dealers and their sales associates.
  • Maintain current dealer information within a CRM database.
  • Attend trade shows as a manufacturer, demonstrating and promoting products and programs to end users and resellers.
  • Always represent Leica in a professional and ethical manner, understating that they are the face of the organization in a perspective marketplace.

Essential skills and abilities:

  • Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes by aligning Leica’s programs and products to support a dealer or consumer's opportunity or need.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in pulling useful actionable information from data.
  • Ability to communicate a clear message to a targeted audience through multiple media, including written communication or direct conversation.
  • Follows directions and guidance to successfully complete projects or fulfill requests within specified time frames and parameters.
  • Upbeat, outgoing personality and attitude that is always finding positives in situations.
  • High level of self-motivation and energy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or commensurable experience in prior roles that demonstrate proficiency in the areas mentioned above.
  • Three years of prior experience working with retailers in the outdoor industry.
  • Resides within the assigned territory.
  • 60% travel / 40% home office.
