Hampstead, NC — The GLOCK Collectors Association (GCA) is excited to announce the publication of the 2010 GCA Journal, a special edition celebrating the 25-year anniversary of the GCA and the 35-year anniversary of GLOCK, Inc. USA.
“This year is not only the GCA’s 25-year anniversary, it is also the 35-year anniversary of GLOCK, Inc. USA. Time flies and I can’t even remember what life was like before GLOCK,” said Stanley Ruselowski, Jr., GCA President. “It seems like GLOCKs have been around forever.”
This special edition includes the history on GLOCK Subcompact 9x19mm and .40 caliber pistols. While other firearms manufacturers are only just discovering the Micro-Nine, GLOCK invented the category back in 1995 when they introduced the G26 Gen3.
This year GLOCK announced the introduction of Gen5 models chambered in .40 S&W caliber. Remember back in 1990s when the .40 S&W was new? “Power, Proven And Simple” was how GLOCK advertised the then-new Gen2 .40 caliber pistols. A retrospect of GLOCK .40 caliber pistols is included in this issue.
“I’ve tested plenty of .40 S&W pistols over the past decade or so and some of them were GLOCKs,” said Robert Sadowski, CGA Secretary/Treasurer. “The new G23 Gen5 is sublime in its ability to manage the snappy recoil of the .40 S&W cartridge.” The full review is also included in the 2010 GCA Journal, plus an article on GLOCK Gen1 and Gen2 field and survival knives.

About the Glock Collectors Association
The GLOCK Collectors Association (GCA) was established and incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation in 1995. The mission of the GCA is to educate and preserve: Educate the public on the models, variations, and commemoratives built by Glock, as well as provide members with information on GLOCK serial numbers, importation, and other facts unique to GLOCK pistols. The GCA also preserves the pistols for generations to come. In appreciation for GLOCK allowing use of the logo, Mr. Gaston Glock was made member #1. The GCA thanks GLOCK, Inc. USA for their support.
