North Brunswick AJROTC, Perry AJROTC, and NoVA Sharpshooters also posted victories, setting up marquee matchups for Week 6 including North Brunswick versus Vista Grande and NoVA Sharpshooters versus Cos Cob Revolver and Rifle Club.

Federal Ammunition sponsored shooter Cameron Hicks won the FITASC event and EZGO Shootout Qualifier at the Seminole Cup in Georgia, competing against over 600 shooters. Hicks used Federal's new Master Class sporting clay load to achieve both victories, matching his father's 2003 FITASC win.

Madi Woodward, E-Commerce and Trade Marketing Manager at Sierra Bullets, placed first in the women's classification and 4th overall in the Open Light Division at the 5th Annual Mason Valley Steel Hunter. Competing with Sierra Bullets 25 Cal 131 GR MatchKing in a 25 Creedmoor, Woodward completed all 17 stages despite challenging 95-degree heat conditions.

University of Rhode Island won the 2025-2026 National Intercollegiate Rifle League championship with a 2,349.6 season average, while Georgia Military College's MacKenzie Sookhoo completed an unbeaten individual season sweep across all eight matches with a 618.3 average.

Colt's Manufacturing Company LLC celebrates Team Colt's landmark performance at the 2025 IPSC Handgun World Shoot in South Africa, where Jalise Williams became the first woman to qualify for a U.S. National Handgun Team and earned gold medals in Classic Overall Ladies and Team Champion categories while competing with her Colt Gold Cup Trophy 1911.

North Brunswick AJROTC and Vista Grande MCJROTC remain unbeaten in Scopos' 2026 National Air Rifle New Shooter League and Air Pistol League. Berger Team member Justin Skaret earned second place in the long-range sling division at the 2026 Southwest Nationals held at Ben Avery Shooting Facility in Phoenix, Arizona. Skaret's success utilized Berger 153.5gr LR Hybrid Target bullets paired with Vihtavuori N160 powder and Lapua 260 Remington cases to manage challenging wind conditions during the Desert Sharpshooters Rifle Club event.

Krieghoff International sponsored the Jack Link's Cup at Quail Creek Sporting Ranch in Okeechobee, Florida, welcoming 1,672 shooters from all 50 states and 15 countries competing for $350,000 in prize money. Team Krieghoff shooters Brandon Powell, Shelby Moon, Mike Wilgus, Kiersten Sales, and Jacob Judson earned podium placements, while Brad Mayberry won a Krieghoff K-80 Parcours-X raffle prize valued at over $22,000.

Notable performances included Grayson Cowan's 280.4 in rifle and Steven CSM USA(ret) Slee's 540-6 in pistol, with several close matches decided in final stages.

The NRA Competitive Shooting Division announces the 2026 NRA America's Rifle Challenge Match Director Summit, a three-day training program held May 6-10, 2026, at Camp Atterbury, Indiana. The summit provides comprehensive instruction for current and aspiring Match Directors and Range Officers, with lodging and meals provided for 36 selected participants at a $50 registration fee.

Hornady will host the Zombies in the Heartland 3-Gun Match May 29-31, 2026, at Heartland Public Shooting Park in Grand Island, Nebraska. The match features reactive targets and requires competitors to use pistol, rifle, and shotgun, or pistol-caliber carbine and shotgun in the PCC Division. Registration is open via Practiscore.

Federal Ammunition sponsored shooter Kayle Browning won gold in Women's Trap at the Abu Dhabi Shotgun Grand Prix, defeating Italy's Jessica Rossi and Poland's Sandra Bernal with a perfect 30/30 final score. The 2020 Olympic silver medalist competed among 165 of the world's best trap and skeet shooters from 26 countries.

MacKenzie Sookhoo led Game 6 of the 2025-2026 National Intercollegiate Rifle League with a 614.5 score, as the University of Rhode Island posted 2,328.8 to lead standings at 2,313.5 average. Georgia Military College finished second at 1,219.4 in the match.

Team Remington dominated the RC Cup Main Event, with Brandon Powell, Turner Parcell, and Michael Luongo finishing first, second, and third respectively among nearly 350 entrants. The 950-target event at South Florida Shooting Club in Palm City, Florida attracted over 500 total shooters and concluded February 1, 2026.
