Team Ruger's Lauryl Akenhead Earns High Lady at the 2026 MPA Last Chance Qualifier

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) is pleased to announce that Team Ruger's Lauryl Akenhead earned High Lady at the 2026 MPA Last Chance Qualifier, held October 10-11 at Cool Acres Sporting Camp in Swainsboro, Georgia. Hosted by the Oklahoma Territorial Marshals, the two-day Precision Rifle Series qualifier brought competitors together for a demanding final opportunity to earn points late in the season.

Akenhead competed with her Ruger American® Gen II rifle chambered in 6mm Creedmoor. Across the match, she paired disciplined stage management with the accuracy and consistency needed to perform in a national-level PRS field, ultimately securing the High Lady title with an impressive score of 168.

"I had a great weekend competing at the 2026 Fall MPA Two-Day Match in Georgia," stated Akenhead. "It was a challenging match with great competition and plenty of lessons to take away. I always enjoy getting out and competing against some of the best shooters in the country."

The result adds to a strong 2026 campaign for Akenhead, a longtime precision rifle competitor who has earned multiple High Lady and division titles at regional and national matches. Her performance at Cool Acres further demonstrated the American Gen II platform's ability to support confident, repeatable execution through varied stages and changing match conditions.

Built for hunters and shooting enthusiasts, the Ruger American Rifle Gen II combines practical handling with a design focused on dependable accuracy. In Akenhead's competition setup, the 6mm Creedmoor chambering provided a capable foundation for the precision and consistency required throughout the two-day event.

Akenhead's High Lady finish reflects the preparation, focus and competitive drive she brings to each match. Ruger congratulates her on another outstanding result and looks forward to following her continued success through the remainder of the 2026 season.
