Accokeek, MD - Team Beretta shooters recently achieved four podium wins during several recent regional and international events, including the 2022 World FITASC Championship held at Orvieto Shooting Range in Orvieto, Italy, and the 2022 Kansas State Sporting Clay Championship held at Flint Oak in Falls River, KS.
Team Beretta members in attendance at the World FITASC included Diane Sorantino, Anthony Matarese, Jr., Joseph Fanizzi, Jared Greenwood, Dominic Grossi, Desirae Edmunds, and Zachary Kienbaum. Greenwood also attended the Kansas State Sporting Clays Championship.
Sorantino, who shoots with the new Beretta A400 Xcel Sporting, secured a bronze medal in the ladies category with a respectable score of 178 out of 200 targets after a shoot-off with fellow Team USA teammate Madison Sharpe.
Matarese, shooting with a Beretta DT11 L, also brought home a bronze medal as a part of the men’s USA team with a combined score of 745 out of 800 targets.
Fanizzi obtained a silver medal as a part of the junior USA team with a combined score of 542 out of 600 targets.
After returning from Italy, Greenwood, who shoots with a standard DT11 Sporting, secured an HOA champion title in the main event at the 2022 Kansas State Sporting Clays Championship with an exceptional score of 185 out of 200 targets. Greenwood is a Kansas native and previously won the Kansas State Championship in 2018.
Team Beretta shooters will continue their season at the upcoming 2022 North Central Regional Championship and FITASC Grand Slam in Hainesville, IL, from July 27-31, 2022.
